Mary Magdalene Revealed
The First Apostle, Her Feminist Gospel & the Christianity We Haven’t Tried Yet
Wall Street Journal bestselling author Meggan Watterson
Wednesday Jan 7-Feb 18 2026
In January, I’ll be hosting a book study on Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Watterson — a powerful exploration of The Gospel of Mary Magdalene and the radically different message it carries.
This ancient gospel was buried in the Egyptian desert after a 4th-century edict ordered its destruction. Thanks to the courage of early monks who refused to comply, fragments survived — leaving us with the only gospel written in the name of a woman.
Mary’s gospel tells a very different story than the one many of us were taught. It speaks of a love that does not shame us for being human. A wisdom that invites us to become “true human beings” — aware of our limitations, and also our infinite nature.
Meggan Watterson, a Harvard-trained theologian, guides readers verse by verse through this gospel, offering clarity around how Mary Magdalene came to be misrepresented — and why her voice matters so deeply, especially now.
This is not a debate about belief or doctrine. It’s a space for reflection, conversation, and listening together.
The book study will be held over several weeks, gently paced and thoughtfully facilitated.
How it’s offered:
This book study is part of a small, ongoing community I host called The Path of the Rose — a space for sacred dialogue, study, and integration. Rather than registering for the book study on its own, participants join the community and take part in the study within that shared container.
